Lake and Sumter Counties Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America is proud of the success of our 18th Annual Military Charities Golf Tournament, held at Harbor Hills Golf and Country Club on Friday, April 10, 2026.  The tournament was a huge success with 100 players competing for prizes for the lowest scoring teams in the Men's, Women's, and Mixed Divisions, as well as prizes for closest to the pin winners, 2 for the men and 2 for the women, as well as having a lot of fun.  Players and guests were treated to an awards dinner in the club house immediately following the tournament conclusion.  In addition to awarding tournament prizes, a drawing for a Dine-Free-Once-a-Week-for-a-Year Sweepstakes at the Havana Country Club Restaurant was held.  A live and silent auction wrapped up the day, making it for a very successful and fun tournament.

This tournament is the largest fund raiser for our chapter each year, and this year we raised over $43,000.  These funds will go to support 10 JROTC scholarships, two each at five area high schools with JROTC programs, and eight military-oriented charities.
